Hello, and a very warm welcome to my site, thanks for calling by!
My name is Liz Machin, and "Fanatikat" is my G.C.C.F registered breeding prefix.
I have held my prefix for nearly 18 years, since early 1990, and together with my ever supportive husband Tony, I have been actively both breeding and showing throughout this time, enjoying many successes with our cats along the way, but most of all, having fun!
Based in the North West of England, just South of Preston, we are fortunate enough to be within easy reach of the Motorway networks to go in any direction within just a couple of minutes from home.

The History of Fanatikat
My love of the British Shorthair began back in 1988, when I bought my first pedigree cat, 'Brynbuboo Vanden Plas', or just 'Plessy' to us, an orange-eyed White boy. Like an awful lot of other people, I had gone with the express intention of coming away with a British Blue kitten, but at that time, there weren't any ready. I met Plessy, and it was, I felt mutual 'love at first sight'. Oh, how I loved that boy. Plessy went on to have a fantastic show career, attaining the title Grand Premier, along with one U.K. Grand Premier certificate, before he retired, and my love of the breed in general but of the British Whites in particular, was born! A couple of years later, and very much encouraged by Plessy's breeder, Pat Absalom, I was persuaded to" have a go at just one litter", and like so many before and since, quickly got hooked..... As the years have rolled by, we have enjoyed much show success, and attained many titled cats, having a wonderful and most memorable time in the process, but most of all, we have continued throughout to simply delight in the pleasure of sharing our lives with this breed of wonderfully gentle, loving, and most communicative of cats....
